Why Donya Ziraksari
Donya Ziraksari, currently a Technical Program Manager, embarked on her professional journey after earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of New Mexico. Specializing in renewable energy, she designed smart grids for new domestic communities. Starting as a Project Engineer, she swiftly advanced to oversee multimillion-dollar portfolios. She holds a PMP certificate since 2018 and have been presenting Project Management related topics to Engineering schools and national seminars to students and professional for years.
Relocating to Houston in 2018, Donya excelled in Project Management roles within midstream/downstream companies before broadening her horizons as a consultant, specializing as a Subject Matter Expert in the Capital Project Department. There, she restructured and established Capital Project Departments for statewide and multibillion-dollar industries. Transitioning to Tech, she became a Technical Program Manager, leading Data Center development and operations projects for North America.
In 2020, Donya founded ACED (Advisory Council at Engineering Development) at the University of New Mexico. Leading a small team, she offered free online Technical, Project Management, and Soft Skill courses through UNM School of Engineering, providing certificates applicable towards PMI licenses and beyond.
